About Gayhurst
Gayhurst is a co-educational Preparatory School for girls and boys aged 3 to 13.
Gayhurst was founded in 1908 at Milton Avenue, Gerrards Cross as an independent boarding school preparing boys for entry into the leading English Public Schools. The school moved to its present site in 1930 and has remained here ever since. Attractively situated on the edge of the town in twelve acres of playing fields and woodland Gayhurst is a wonderful environment for children to learn and be happy.
In a rapidly changing world the school is not afraid to move with the times but there are certain fundamental values which Gayhurst strives to maintain. The happiness and well-being of the children is one such value but the individual should also have a full understanding of what is right and wrong. Although academic standards are high every child at the school is given the opportunity and encouragement to develop their own talents to the maximum through whatever medium.
