The Art Department's "Clay Day" for Years 7 and 8!

On Tuesday 2nd February the Years 7 and 8 children were very fortunate to spend the day working with a visiting sculpture expert, Richard Gibson (www.ArtByRich.co.uk), who has over 15 years of experience as a practising artist, ceramicist and sculptor. All of the children produced some wonderful pieces of clay sculpture with him, which related to their studies on the findings of the famous mathematician Fibonacci and the relationships between patterns, lines and shapes found in nature and architecture. It was a very successful and enjoyable day and we look forward to working with Mr Gibson again in the future. Please contact Mrs Miller (Head of Art) for further information about this event.
