
Information Communication Technology (ICT) is taught in weekly lessons throughout the school. During their lessons, Gayhurst pupils benefit from a curriculum which challenges them to find solutions to logical problems. Pupils also learn how to use spreadsheets, databases and presentation tools. The senior school has a fully equipped ICT suite, which is complimented by the Junior school resource library. All computers in the school are run on the Windows XP Professional operating system, incorporating the latest 2007 version of Microsoft Office suite. The ICT department are always researching new ideas and techniques which would broaden and enhance ICT at Gayhurst.

• To encourage pupils to solve problems through the use of ICT by applying associated principles and techniques.
• To give pupils experience of using a range of applications and to give them an understanding of their features and limitations
